Conditions for falling under J&K Resident Category
You are a Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) resident if:
Your Place of Birth is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Your Permanent Address is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Your Present Address is in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). This however doesn't include the case where Indian Citizens from other states have been deployed in J&K by Indian Government on official duty.
